Vieri — Artist Collaboration

For VIERI, the jewellery label working with recycled gold and fairly traded gemstones, I drew a series of illustrations. The pictures tell of the Italian way of life that lives in every piece of the brand: sunshine, indulgence and a long evening by the sea.

Dolce vita in pen and paper

VIERI combines Italian roots with a clear ambition: jewellery should bring joy and be made responsibly. I wanted to translate this attitude into images. The result is a series of warm scenes in which women enjoy the moment and the jewellery quite naturally belongs. As with all my work, every motif starts with a line of ink on paper. The colour follows, light and flowing.

Where the illustrations appeared

The series appeared in many places: in a pop-up exhibition at the Studio C gallery, as limited art prints for customers, on the website and in the VIERI lookbook. The collaboration grew into a small visual world of its own that accompanies the brand inside and out.

Why art and jewellery go well together

Jewellery and drawing have more in common than you might think. Both live from details, from craftsmanship and from the story you connect with them. An artist collaboration makes that story visible without raising its voice.
