Those of you who have been following me for a while know that I am always drawn to Italy, especially South Tyrol, during my vacations. This time, we took a little road trip from Lake Como to the Adriatic to Venice, with a stop in Oberbozen on the way back. I’d love to share a few tips from this trip with you!

Casa Carlazzo – Between Lake Lugano and Lake Como
Our friends Corinne and Lars have created an interior dream here. Carlazzo is a small, sleepy town from which you can reach both Lake Lugano and Lake Como in just 15 minutes. The two-story house is located right in the town, and the carefully renovated rooms offer an exciting mix of materials with many lovely vintage details. The best part is: You can also rent Casa Carlazzo. Just check out Corinne’s Instagram or Booking.com!

Next stop Venice
On the way, the above illustration of the Piazza del Duomo in Milan was created. Our next stop took us near Punta Sabbioni, right by the sea. For the kids, this was the perfect time by the sea, and together we were able to easily reach Venice by boat. Visiting the Biennale di Venezia was an absolute vacation highlight, which was also very inspiring with and for the kids. You can find a small reel of it here on Instagram.
But of course, we also took the time to simply put our feet in the sand, as you can see in the following artwork…

High up on the Ritten – Time travel, please!
On the way home, we briefly transported ourselves back to the year 1908 with all the advantages of our time. The Parkhotel Holzner in Oberbozen dates back to exactly that time, and the atmosphere immediately captivates us: Many elements of the interior are originals, and new additions have been perfectly integrated without feeling out of place. And then there was the aperitif in the park in front of the house with a view of the Dolomites…

The following illustration shows another favorite spot in the Holzner: the green salon.
