A weekend with nature, snow and enjoyment in Grossarl

Finally a little escape again – it’s precisely these little trips, where you are immediately in another world without having to make long journeys and can leave everyday life behind for such a short time, that are very important to me. So come with me and my illustrations to the Nesslerhof in Grossarl.

After just under two hours’ drive from Munich, we arrived at the enchanting winter paradise of Großarl and were immediately captivated by the picturesque scenery that awaited us. The Nesslerhof, located right next to the valley station of the brand-new gondola, welcomed us with open arms after its renovation at the end of last year. Its style was exactly to our taste: minimalist yet characterized by high-quality, warm materials and a clear interior design that seamlessly extended from the restaurant to the rooms and into the spacious wellness area. I was particularly taken with the oval bathroom mirrors, which I immediately captured in the first illustration.

After a delicious dinner with a multi-course menu and a final Swiss stone pine mule (simply delicious!), we started the next day full of anticipation for a new adventure. We explored the summit both by sledge and gondola and were rewarded with a breathtaking panorama. We then made our way to the lake at the end of the valley. But by the afternoon, no one could hold the children back when they discovered the pool. The indoor and outdoor areas merge seamlessly and you almost feel like you’re swimming right into the mountain panorama.

Whether nature experiences, relaxation, culinary delights or active adventures – we all got our money’s worth. It was a wonderful weekend, which of course passed far too quickly, as is always the case.
