Gucci — Live Illustration

At the Gucci boutique on Maximilianstraße in Munich I spent a day drawing live. Anyone who stopped by could take a seat at my drawing table and receive a personal fashion illustration that exists only once.

Capturing fashion in the moment

Gucci is all about boldness: strong colours, playful patterns, accessories with a character of their own. That is exactly what makes drawing there such a joy. I capture what defines a look, the cut of a jacket, the colour of a bag, the way someone stands. I draw looks, not faces, and yet everyone recognises themselves straight away.

A one-of-a-kind keepsake

With ink and colour, the drawing takes shape right in front of the customers. After just a few minutes they hold their own fashion sketch, a memento of a visit that stays with them a little longer than an ordinary shopping trip.
