My new Studio – Finally a Studio of my own!

Finally, the time has come, and I have my very first studio. For years, I’ve been thinking about how, if, when, and where my proper studio should be. I kept looking at offices and workspaces, but always ended up deciding against them. Then, by chance, the perfect opportunity presented itself this spring.

As so often happens, it came completely unexpectedly! Now I’m sitting here, behind my large desk with a view of the greenery, and I’m really happy. My new favorite view is definitely through this beautiful arched window. Sometimes, it even feels a little like the “Meister Eder” window – do you know it?

My little new kingdom is located in the beautiful Au, not far from the Isar. It’s a truly pleasant place to be. The Isar is just around the corner, and Gans woanders is just around the other corner. I’m also excited about the creative exchange with my neighbors, the architectural office Studio Frick. Once the lease was signed, ideas for the interior started flowing. Which furniture is absolutely essential, and how do I want to arrange the space? What style should reflect in my studio?

It was clear that it shouldn’t just be a workspace but also needed to create a cozy atmosphere. For that, I found the perfect furniture and decor items at Jotex. The beige cocktail chair not only looks super cute in the room but is also incredibly comfortable for a quick sketch or a big inspiration search.
It pairs perfectly with the graphic rug made from a mix of patterns, and the beautiful ball floor lamp completes my little lounge corner. My fun pink Ebay find, the armchair (which many of you have already asked about), and my acrylic side table just work great together. Wall decorations with my own illustrations and beautiful little paper insects from Studio Roof add the perfect touch to the corner.

I decorated my large windowsill with the IVA vase from Jotex and filled it with a dried flower bouquet from Lykke & You. Books and old magazines complete the first glimpse of my studio from the outside.

The work corner consists of a wild mix. A large Eiermann desk with a small side cart and a comfortable office chair! In the background, a large shelf has found its place, where all pens, notebooks, colors, books, odds and ends, cards, and more are neatly organized. Of course, a big bulletin board is a must, because I love nothing more than creating beautiful inspiring mood boards. Only after I’ve created one does a project truly begin.

I am happy about this big step and I’m so excited to have finally found my little creative space.
Here’s to many beautiful projects in this inspiring room!
