Our stay at the Mons Silva Chalets was like a little journey into a winter fairy tale, and we were instantly enchanted. Under a bright blue sky, we were able to enjoy all the advantages of the chalet.
The spatial separation between the hotel and the chalets gives you a sense of independence. Nevertheless, you can always take advantage of all the amenities of the Alphotel Tyrol. For example, childcare, a pool, a petting zoo, and a playground are available. You can also relax and enjoy a sundowner on the sun terrace, as numerous pedal go-karts and the little bunnies keep the kids entertained, creating a relaxed atmosphere for all holiday participants.
Breakfast is delivered directly from the hotel kitchen to the chalet. In contrast, dinner is usually served at the hotel. However, you also have the option to order à la carte meals to the chalet or enjoy a cozy fondue evening.
Our leisure activities:
The nearby excursion destinations make the hearts of all winter sports enthusiasts beat faster. The nearby Ratschings/Jaufen ski area (just 5 minutes from the hotel) is stunning and offers not only alpine skiing and cross-country trails but also walking paths and a toboggan run. The hotel provides a free shuttle service throughout the day with a small minibus.
Under bright sunshine, we took the gondola up the mountain and then dared to try the toboggan run. It’s beautiful but not for the faint-hearted — the final stretch is quite challenging. You can easily and conveniently rent a toboggan at the valley station.

Another dreamy excursion destination is the Ridnaun Valley, a paradise for cross-country skiers. The trail is stunning and offers a breathtaking panorama. Next to the trail, there’s a walking path through the snow, perfect for a winter stroll with a sporty stroller. We couldn’t resist taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride there, which lasts about an hour.
We had a wonderful winter fairy tale getaway with everything that goes with it. I hope I was able to inspire you once again with my travel diary!
